Franchise Wi-Fi drift is a data problem before it is a policy problem
Franchise · Governance
Corporate templates assume uniform mall rules and landlord timelines. Franchisees inherit different constraints: a landlord-mandated ISP, a pop-up POS vendor, or a local installer who “fixed it” with an extra AP.
We publish allowed configuration ranges instead of brittle single values. Ranges survive real life: a slightly higher transmit power in a narrow unit is fine if isolation tests still pass.
Self-certification bundles include CLI checks franchisees can run without exposing core NOC credentials. The output is a small JSON file they upload to your portal—auditable, timestamped, and less emotional than photo threads.
When drift exceeds range, escalation ladders spell out who pays for remediation and how long corporate overrides may stay in place. Ambiguity there is what erodes trust faster than any rogue SSID.
